OUTREACH TO SENIORS

Our outreach ministry teams lead once-a-month worship service at Silvera Shouldice Lodge.  People are invited to help with this ministry to seniors in the community. The residents appreciate this opportunity to worship in prayer, song, praise and fellowship.

BIRTHDAY BOX

During closing of the Sunday Service, we invite forward anyone who is celebrating birthday, anniversary or any special occasion, to make a donation to our birthday box. The donations are being sent on to the United Church of Canada  Mission and Service Fund.

CHRISTMAS HAMPER PROGRAM

Each year Foothills United Church provides assistance to area families by supporting the St. Edmund Anglican Church  Bowness Christmas hamper program. Donation of cash and grocery cards and non-perishable donations are delivered to St. Edmund to be included in their hampers.  St Edmund Anglican, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran and Foothills United work together as the Steeple People.

KRAFT DINNER LUNCHES

Kraft Dinner Lunches are offered monthly to different classes of T. B. Riley School which is right next door.   Once a month a grade 6, 7 or 8 class of school children are invited into our Sanctuary to enjoy a warm lunch and to build community with our neighbourhood school.  They look forward to the noon time event and we enjoy immensely the faces, smiles and voices.
